National Technical Committee for the Mission Ruins of Venn’s Town awareness session

Members of the National Technical Committee for the Mission Ruins of Venn’s Town World Heritage Nomination conducted an engaging awareness session with 31 students and 4 lecturers at the Seychelles Tourism Academy.

The session introduced participants to the World Heritage nomination process, the Outstanding Universal Value of the Mission Ruins of Venn’s Town, and the importance of safeguarding this exceptional heritage for present and future generations.

The presentation was well received, with students showing great interest through thoughtful questions and active participation throughout the session. It was encouraging to see such enthusiasm for learning more about Seychelles’ cultural heritage and the shared responsibility to protect it.

The National Technical Committee looks forward to returning to the Seychelles Tourism Academy in the coming months for additional sessions focusing on other aspects of Seychelles’ rich cultural heritage.
